FOCAThe St. Peter and St. Paul “O” Club was founded in 1937 as the Windy City “R” Club, Chapter 96.  Our name was changed in the 80’s.  We are a local chapter of the Fellowship of Orthodox Christians in America (FOCA), an official organization of the Orthodox Church in America.  Our motto is Pray, Study, Toil, Be Temperate.  In our 68 years of existence, our stewardship has been through service and monetary gifts to the church and the faith.

OCCAThe Orthodox Christian Clergy Association of Greater Chicago exists to bring the Orthodox community together for fellowship, worship, and constructive cooperation in various ecclesiastical endeavors.  For the past few years, the OCCA  has consistently been the largest single contributor of Christmas gifts to foster children in the care of the Department of Children and Family serves.

One of the greatest helps to the OCCA is its daughter organization, Orthodox Christian Synergy, which carries out, or otherwise fundamentally supports, much of the work and projects that the OCCA  initiates.  The membership in the OCCA  is open to any and all ordained clergy of the Orthodox Church in the Chicago area.  Meetings are open to all members of the ordained, Orthodox clergy.

SynergyOrthodox Christian Synergy, a daughter organization of the OCCA, is comprised of clergy and lay representatives of Orthodox Christian parishes from across the Chicago metropolitan area.  Synergy strives to promote awareness of Orthodox Christianity to the public at large, and to foster interaction among Orthodox Christian parishes and individual parishioners throughout the Chicago area.  Among the more prominent activities that Synergy sponsors, coordinates, or supports, are:

·         An annual symposium with noted theologians.

·         The annual Pan-Orthodox Thanksgiving Eve Liturgy.

·         The Sunday of Orthodoxy Pan-Orthodox Vespers.

·         Department of Children and Family Services annual Christmas gift program.

·         Weekly religious advertisements in the two major Chicago newspapers.

·         A traveling Orthodox bookstore.

·         Orthodox Christians for Life.
